Peter Wilke

Senior Vice President – Head of Tactical Asset Allocation

Biography

About Peter

As the head of tactical asset allocation (TAA) at Northern Trust Asset Management, Peter is responsible for the research and development of innovative investment strategies for the firm’s TAA initiatives. Previously, Peter worked at Wellington Management, where he was the team leader of the multi-asset income investment boutique in Boston. His group was responsible for developing and managing multi-asset portfolios.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2015, Peter was a member of the multi-asset portfolio strategies team at BlackRock in London and New York where he spent 10 years as portfolio manager and head of the global tactical asset allocation research team. He was also a portfolio manager on their flagship mutual fund, BlackRock multi-asset income, as well as other global tactical asset allocation portfolio strategies. Peter started his professional career at Deutsche Bank in 1999 before joining Merrill Lynch in London in 2005.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in international economics from Nottingham University in 2004 and a master’s of science degree in economics and finance from Warwick Business School in 2005.
