Biography

About Colin

Colin Cheesman, CFA, is vice president and portfolio manager of global asset allocation for Northern Trust Asset Management. He is responsible for global macroeconomic and financial market research for the firm’s multi-asset strategies and helps to oversee Northern Trust’s tactical asset allocation and strategic asset allocation via research and portfolio management. Colin serves on various investment committees and articulates the firm’s cross-asset perspectives to the global client base.

Prior to joining the global asset allocation team, Colin was a member of a multi-year leadership development program at Northern Trust. He completed rotations with several teams in asset management, including investment strategy, fundamental equity research, and manager research. Colin holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago and the Big Shoulders Fund Auxiliary Board. Colin also holds the Certified Financial Advisor designation.
